When and where does the hackathon take place?

Who can participate?
- Students or early-career professionals aged 18–28
- IT or AI-related background (studies or work)
- Must have a Hungarian tax number
- You can join as an individual or as a team (teams preferred)
How do I register?
Registration happens on Devpost between November 3, 2025 – February 23, 2026, or until all spots are filled. (Capacity: ~100 participants)

Can a team win more prizes?
Yes, if a team selected by the partners as a challenge winner, they will have the chance to also win the grand prize. In addition, since all projects participate in the audience voting, if they collect enough votes from the audience then they can take home the Audience Award too.

What’s the language of the event?
All activities and submissions are in English. The event’s language is English from start to finish, including the mentorings and the pitch sessions.
Will there be food and breaks?
Yes! You’ll get meals, snacks, and drinks throughout the event.
There’s also a chill room with bean bags and gaming activities.
Is participation free of charge?
Yes, you can enter the hackathon for free.
Can I get help during the hackathon?
Absolutely! Mentors will be available to:
- Provide technical or strategic advice
- Help refine your ideas
- Support your final presentation
What will the live pitches look like?
Finalists will do a live pitch in a previously decided order. Each pitch will be preceded by the team’s youtube video and after that they will have 4 minutes to do the pitch. For the pitches, it is strongly suggested to prepare a presentation too with basic information about the solution. In addition, the audience will have the chance to ask questions after each pitch.
What are the development rules?
- Pre-built frameworks and libraries may be used.
- Previously researched or pre-developed project ideas are not allowed.
- Any public code may be used, including your own.
- However, private pre-built solutions or previously developed/researched code that is not publicly accessible may not be used.
- Any development tools are allowed.
- AI tools and “vibe coding” tools may be used for development.
